Ready --- Go --- Read

I finally finished my first bookmark! I have been wanting to make one for so long, but never really saw the right motif for it. Now this bright and sunny Embroidered Flower Felt Bookmark is just the right thing. It just makes me smell the roses without being anywhere near a garden. This will spice up you reading and let you feel connected to Mother Earth no matter where you are within your mind. I can't wait to make even more bookmarks now. I already thought of a little bookworm...

Boston Marathon Day!

So we went to the Boston Marathon today but down here close to the starting line in Framingham. It was much colder than last year with a lot of wind, but of course still plenty of people out to see the whole thing. And fun it was! We were too late for the front runners, but just in time for the huge crowd of runners. It is amazing how many people participate. And there are all kinds out there... we even saw a male Bumble Bee, Batman and Robin, several Barbies, and a nice Hamburger! Can't wait for next year!

Big Apple Circus

We went to the Big Apple Circus with Lilly. It was the first time for her going to a show and actually the first time for me going to this circus. So we both were very excited! And the show really was great! It lasted 2 hours and Lilly sat through it just staring at the stage, clapping, and moving with the music for the whole time. I couldn't believe it.
And it was real easy to see since the tent is rather small. This way, no seat is further than 50 feet from the stage. We actually had some great seats almost looking straight on.

When we got home, I had to look on youtube to see if they had anything up to show to Lilly again. This here actually was one of her favorite acts. It's so great how this acrobat totally moves to the music. And guess what the best part of this video is for Lilly - the musical notes that are lit up around the stage! She can't stop talking about it!

And this here is the stage. I had to keep the flash off, but you get the idea of all the lights. It really was just perfect for little children.

CUSTOM Bangle Bracelets just for you!

I just love making these Bangle Bracelets that combine felting techniques, crocheting, and embroidery. They are nice and chunky looking, yet very lightweight and never awkward on your wrist. I love putting mine on just to spice up any wardrobe. I actually have one in every major color to go with just about anything. And so, since I thought I can't possibly offer every color combo one might like in my shop, I decided to just show a couple I made so far and offer them as a custom piece. So if you have a special color combo you would like or need for your outfit, I can show several color options and we can work from there. These really are perfect for the summer on your bare arms. Just imagine a stack of them and tell you people wouldn't notice!

Happy Easter! The Pictures

We had the best Easter weekend ever! The entire family got together and Lilly could play to her little hearts content with her cousins. She LOVED it and picked up so many new words. When I thought Lilly was talking like crazy already - now she really is talking - non-stop. It's a good thing. (So they tell me)

So we colored Easter eggs and decorated a few with stickers. We even wrote the names of all the kids on some of them. We made a few pink ones for Lilly and she was ecstatic about them. She already picked pink over any other color as her favorite!

And then on Easter Sunday we braised the cold and had a great Egg Hunt! I found this great spot in our yard and hung these cute chocolate carrot umbrellas (what are they?!) in all the little bushes. Then I also did hide some bright colored plastic eggs (with chocolate eggs inside), other candy, and a special little present for each child.

Not just the kids loved to search for and find all the goodies! Lilly even caught some candy in her net! It was so much fun and I honestly can't wait for next year! Just hoping it will be a little bit warmer ;)

Cheep...Cheep...Treasury

Lilly would be so happy about this Treasury and I just think it is totally adorable! The colors are just so perfect! I also can't wait for the spring to totally get going. Last weekend started very nicely, but now it's raining out of buckets again! I'm just hoping Easter will be nice, warm and sunny. I am so already picturing Lilly in a cute flower dress, carrying an Easter basket and searching for all her Easter treat! It will be soooo much fun! And her cousins are also coming, so even more children hunting for some Easter Eggs.

Wordless Wednesday - mirror, mirror on the wall

Lilly is more and more becoming the little girl - dressing up, twirling in front of the mirror and loving pink!
